In July 2015 I received a request from Linda Bukowksi, the writer’s widow, to use this photo for a celebration of her husband’s work to be held by the San Pedro Film Festival on August 16. I gladly granted permission. The magazine Cultural Weekly, published by Adam Leipzig, asked to publish the same photo, so I also sent the interview with Charles Bukowski that I had done in 1981, during our photo session. They needed a different photo for an article about the event.
After that, Cultural Weekly invited me to become a regular contributor. I proposed a short review of the Robert Redford’s movie A Walk in the Woods.
